Optimizing Adyen Integration: Transitioning from JNI to OPI
Adyen Payment integration has traditionally relied on Java Native Interface (JNI) libraries, also known as classic API integration. However, Adyen has deprecated the classic API integration in favor of Terminal APIs. For Oracle Payment Interface (OPI) they have provided an EFTLink compatible core that operates using Terminal APIs. This means that Oracle Xstore can seamlessly communicate with Adyen via EFTLink using Terminal APIs.
Through Terminal APIs, Adyen offers additional functionalities for retailers to consider implementing during the migration process. These functionalities encompass features such as
- Buy Now, Pay Later
- various Wallet Payments Flows (including AliPay and WeChat)
- Tokenization
- Custom Forms
- Pay By Link
Given that the old interface is deprecated and support has ended, retailers will have to migrate from the classic library to Terminal API. This pivotal transition requires an update for all enterprises currently utilizing the Adyen Payment solution. SkillNet has partnered with several retailers to ease the transition from Adyen’s traditional JNI library solution to Terminal API, guaranteeing a seamless integration process.
Leveraging the insights gained from these engagements, SkillNet has developed a comprehensive migration framework designed to assist enterprises in efficiently transitioning from JNI to OPI. This framework aims to facilitate quick migration, minimizing any disruptions to customers’ payment experiences.
